We just wanted to thank you for the lovely time that we had once again at the cottage this year. It being the 4th year that we've come to the cottage, it rather feels like home when we arrive! We found the dog really funny and the children absolutely adored her - the comments about the dog on your website from the chap who stayed before us made us giggle! Next year we must find out her name! Our parents stayed at Le Logge Locanda in Urbisaglia, and were very pleased with their few days there. The rooms were beautiful, and the hospitality even better. We all ate there one evening and it was marvelous! Anyway, back to the British rain and cold - wish we were still in Italy!

Dear Giovanna,
I would just like to thank you and your family for making us so welcome at the cottage. You have a wonderful holiday home in a beautiful location, you maintain it well and the whole house is in superb condition. We found the ambiance of the house perfect, the fact that we could just sit by the pool in private, lost in our own thoughts, talking, reading etc., was something the whole family needed. The dog from the local farm also reminded us of our own dog that was in kennels for the holidays. She almost became one of the family and we enjoyed her company and i am sure she ours.
For myself i found the daily runs around the Abbey and surrounding area absolutely marvellous, almost a different route every day. If i had also realised that the surrounding roads were perfect for a road bike i would have seriously thought about bringing my bike from the UK. It is a runners and cyclists paradise. Perhaps you are missing an opportunity in selling the house to those who cycle and run.
We found the pool a blessing during the long hot days and it was particularly inviting after day trips to the coast and the mountains. The small shop at the Abbey with the fresh produce and milk; that was something every village should aspire too. The cold milk was perfect; it took me back to my childhood.
On Max’s recommendation we took a couple of day trips into the hills, what a beautiful area, since we are all very keen skiers, i will watch with interest the webcams of the Ski resorts of Sassotetto, Maddalena and Bolognola, who knows, you may get a winter rental. I can recommend the cottage to anyone who would care to contact me for a reference.

Just a note to thank
you again for your kind hospitality; we had such a relaxing break and
I will be sure to send you the evidence of me in the pool (I went in
most days, actually)! I should apologise for forgetting to write in
the visitors’ book: we were a little disorganised yesterday. I
hope that you all have a very happy Easter. Warm regards.

Lovely
accomodation with all that we needed - it's nice to arrive at such a
clean house! - We loved the Abbey, especially the cool cellars as it
was an average of 34° C all week! It's a shame we couldn't book
the weather - we would've asked it to be max 30°! A beach we would
hugely recommend is Grottammare - clean, clear sea, fine sand, friendly
people - very safe as a row of rocks keep you from floating out too
deep. Our girls adored the gelaterias, but not the bees' flight path
over the pool! Thanks for a lovely week. (29th July 2006)

We have
had another lovely week here at the cottage, following our stay last
year. This must be one of the most relaxing places to have a holiday..
We enjoyed a "passeggiata" at Porto Recanati and the ice creams
were wonderful! I'm sure we'll be back next year. (22th July 2006)

We have
enjoyed an excellent, relaxing holiday in the beautifully peaceful spot.
It's a great place for children. We were able to enjoy the garden and
pool in perfect peace and quiet. The cottage is well equipped, Urbisaglia
has all you need, and .... ..... interesting place to go all around.
Italy winning the World Cup while we were here gave the holiday a cheerful
flavour. (15th July 2006)

P.S. Belatedly reading the previous entries, we visited “Le Logge”
in Urbisaglia. We can confirm that the food is superb and the service
friendly and efficient. Take a good appetite with you!
Liz recommend a walk through La Gola dell'Infernaccio in the mountains.
It is cool (comfortably) and spectacular.
A beautiful spot, a fantastic house for us all. The
markets were great in Macerata (Wed), Civitanova (Sat) lots of good
finds! Wonderful weather to sit outside in the evenings and sample Italian
wines. Pool was great, the kids loved the farm up the road. (June 2006)

We have
had a fantastic stay here. There is so much for the children to do.
The pool is great & they have enjoyed exploring the grounds. We
have had fun on the beautiful beaches at Porto San Giorgio & also
enjoyed our visits to Macerata and Sarnano. Stuart and I enjoyed sitting
out under the gazebo in the evening - Very relaxing. We have had a wonderful
time & would love to come back.

Buongiorno!
We just wanted to e-mail you to say what a wonderful time we had at
the Cottage. We loved everything about the cottage - the garden, the
views, the pool, the tranquillity; it was serene and perfect. If we
don't come back next year (and we are hoping that we might), we will
come back in the future. It was the most enjoyable and relaxing holiday
we have ever had. Grazie mille! Ciao!

A belated
thanks for the most spectacular week at 'La Volpe'. We all enjoyed ourselves
so much and the house is perfect for a family holiday. We completely
fell in love with Le Marche and especially the area around the cottage
and are hoping to buy somewhere there for a holiday home. Very best
wishes to you and thank you again for a perfect holiday.
Caroline Hecks - June 2005
A
lovely holiday with excellent accommodation. All local restaurants are
superb, if a little difficult to find at times. A lovely time. (Carol,
Roland and Sarah Draper)
I
had a great time when staying at the villa. I would recommend a visit
to Ancona, and to the beach. The locals were very accommodating and
helpful considering the language barrier. (Dan Nixon)
We
have all had a great holiday. The area is steeped in history. Coming
from Scotland the weather has been super. The house we thought was wonderful
and and would like to have stayed longer. Best wishes from Adrian, Lesley,
Holly & Eliot Jones; Stanley & Jean Cook
What

We’ve
had a lovely stay here. The house is very cosy and has everything you
need for a relaxing holiday. The surroundings are beautiful and occasionally
testing (cycling – bike). The restaurants are good. Molte grazie

David and I would just like to say thank you for the very warm welcome
at the cottage, and a most enjoyable stay. The cottage is extremely
comfortable, and the grounds and location very relaxing. We really enjoyed
ourselves, and were very reluctant to leave. Kind regards and heartfelt
thanks,
Anne Joyce
Fantastic
week. Weather surprisingly hot. All the hill towns are incredibly picturesque
but the highlights were the food. (Andrea, Ben + James Ward)
